Rafi Anteby is a man of many characters - Kung Fu warrior champion, army officer, master of healing/martial arts, hand-to-hand instructor to some of the largest armies in the world, martial arts teacher to a private army in Africa,but above and beyond, an artist/designer. After September 11th, Israeli designer Rafi Anteby worked as a counter terrorist consultant for the United States government. About two years ago, he found his niche designing high-end extravagant sportswear, Shadang, inspired by Asian healing arts. Venturing out into fashion jewelry, he launched Bullets4Peace at the WNWN Spring ‘09 Fashion Week Show. Soldiers are sent out into war zones and training areas to collect bullet casings which fall out before actually reaching their targets. Normally, the casings are sent to the factory to be recycled into more ammunition. However, Rafi recycles used bullet casings to transform them into beautiful necklaces with different themes and diamonds, a statement of peace rather than destruction.
