HIDDEN SUPPER CLUB

Hidden Supper Club in Santa Monica on Main Street is everything a popular LA restaurant isn’t. For starters, it really is hidden- there is a tiny sign on Main Street, but you have to know where to look for the entrance, since the place is fronted by some serious jungle foliage and tucked into the back of a deep courtyard. Even the paparazzi have a tough time knowing where to loiter.

Next, the place is candle lit, but not in a way you’re used to. This take on creative natural light is intended to distract you from the gorgeous staff and sexy West Side crowd, and get you focused on the food. And the food is where HIDDEN really stands out.

The menu is still in transition (HIDDEN is always evolving), but the core items are delicious and will satisfy your hunger for something unique in the LA eating experience.

Popular favorites include the KOBE Beef Tacos, the Grilled Atlantic Salmon in lemon caper sauce, the Lobster Spaghetti, and of course, the famed HIDDEN Pizza, which, according to its press, “might not look like much, but with its fried arugula and truffle oil is delicious to taste and impossible to miss.”

“HIDDEN is about three things- atmosphere, class, and food,” says co-owner, Richard Chacker part of the four person team behind HIDDEN that also includes Steven Lee and the Brothers Strauss.

“HIDDEN is also a remake of a Hollywood classic” says Greg Strauss, “Schwarzenegger first had the space for his restaurant, Schatzi.”

The group is carrying on some of Arnold’s traditions, including bringing back cigar night. But where the place really homage’s its Hollywood connection, is the way in which the entire place captures the spirit and feel of a well made movie set. The venue has a grotto, an outdoor patio, a beach bar, a Sunset Strip lounge and a formal dining area. The diversity of HIDDEN makes it a perfect destination for an all-inclusive evening- cocktails at the bar, horse devours on the patio, dinner in the dining room or grotto and late night mingling in the lounge.
